It's been awhile...

Okay, so it's been a long while.. August of 2011 to be exact.. And needless to say.. A lot has changed since then!! So here I go again.. And I'm sure after another hiatus.. You will read those words again.. And probably not long after that too. So what is the Bryant Bunch up to? I'll just make this post a quick rundown of everything new. Freezing in the Chi to start.. The wind was so cold I thought it was going to cut my hands off today!! But I love it here.. And wouldn't have it any other way. The kids are getting too big, too fast.. Much to my disliking.. Jazzie has a boyfriend.. Austin is obsessed with basketball.. Nic is still laid back and goes with the flow.. Bastian has started Pre-K two days a week.. And Xander is the sweetest spoiled brat you will ever meet! :-) I've been off work since July 28th due to a back injury.. But looking forward to going back in the next week and a half! I've applied to school at Loyola, and I'm anxiously awaiting to hear if I have been accepted! So there is the last year and a half in a nutshell! I promise to do better.. And hopefully won't fall off the map again!!

So it's been awhile..

Once again, I have lost track and haven't updated this blog!! Needless to say, things are so busy with a house of 5 babies.. Especially now that school is starting back, and we are actually able to get the kids back in sports after a couple year hiatus after having the babies!!

Jazzie is going into the 7th grade... How did that happen?? My baby is now in Jr High? Seems impossible.. yet here she is.. heading off to the big world of changing classes every class period! She has joined the volleyball team, and has practice EVERYDAY until school starts. So far she seems to really be enjoying it. Boys are still something that come and go with the tide it seems.. I'm hoping it stays that way for awhile!

Austin will be in the 5th grade.. Middle school!! He is a little nervous.. but I know he will do great. We will be registering him for TACKLE football next Saturday.. Let's hope I live through all that!! Sheesh!

Nic is still Momma's little love bug.. He is so tiny and scrawny compared to the rest.. I honestly hope he wants to be in band or something when he gets older... Anything else and he's liable to be squashed!! Alas, he says he wants to play soccer again.. Hopefully that won't be too bad.

But 3 kids in sports!!?!? Thank God for an amazing husband that loves all his kiddos and doesn't mind playing taxi!! This year should prove to be interesting to say the least!

Sebastian is 2... TWO!!!  I can't believe it.. He has his moments of sweetness, but most times he is just like his Daddy! ;-) Everyday he is learning new words, and it continues to amaze me everytime I hear him say something new.. Newest one.. Pa ickle... Yep.. My boy wants a Popsicle.. The old school Pop Ice kind that you have to cut the end off!! Tj sent me to the store the other day to get "Sebastian" a box of popsicles.. Guess everyone else is out of luck, cause that boy loves them!

Xander is officially up and walking every where!!! I can't stand it.. He never crawls any more. Makes me so sad.. What happened to my little sweet baby that would snuggle up with me?? He's long gone.. Cause X is always too busy for all that! Usually too busy fighting with Sebastain over a toy that probably was Sebastian's at one point.. And Sebastian probably hasn't played with it in a year.. But now all of the sudden.. HE WANTS IT!!  He hasn't learned "MINE!!!" yet.. Thank goodness!!

I will be attending a Neonatal conference in Orlando Fl in September.. I have been blessed with the privlege of being able to leave a few days early and stay at Daytona Beach! I also have been blessed with great friends that are going to keep ALL FIVE of my kiddo's so that TJ can go with me!! I am super excited.. and would really like to leave TOMORROW!! Plus, it's my first big conference and a great learning oppurtunity!!

Well, until next time!! (And I promise it won't be so long this time!!)

Bestfriends wedding!

So, my best friend, Brittany got married this past weekend!! The wedding was beautiful.. and all of us girls had a great weekend prepping for the wedding.. lots of pampering and laughter!! Such great memories were made!!

Looking forward to a lifelong journey of happiness with my friends!! I love weddings... And have decided Tj and me will definitely be celebrating with a ceremony.. he would rather wait 10 years... but I'm thinking my original date for the Ice Princess wedding in December of 2013 will be absolutely perfect!

Did I mention I got my husband to dance with me?? For those that know him, you know what a HUGE accomplishment this was... and I didn't even have to beg, bribe, or drag him kicking and screaming!!! And I absolutely loved it!! Only made me fall that much deeper in love with him.. everytime I think I can't love him any more.. he amazes me once again! :)

Field trip fun!!

So I went with Jazzie on her 4-H fieldtrip and survived!! 70 some-odd hormonal/pre pubescent 12 year olds in one spot can work a number on ya!! We practiced archery, hiking, and rock wall climbing in efforts to teach the kids the meanings of team work, patience, and listening skills... needless to say, some needed more help in those areas than others! Day two they got to canoe and fish.. And they were all truly a sight to see!!

Overall, I think that a great time was had by all!! Although, the adult Chaperones that got to get away to build the campfire will be having laughs for a long time to come!!

Looking forward to going in later years with the boys!!

But while I had a great time.. I missed the rest of my immensely!! And having to come to work tonight without getting time to spend with them... Well.. that just stinks!!

Making memories

It's been awhile since I've posted.. and I really don't have much of an excuse.. in fact.. I don't have an excuse at all. And this is a little past due.. but I'm guessing better late than never.

This year, I had to work the night of Easter.. We woke up to 5 excited babies since it was obvious by the baskets, that the Easter bunny had been to our house! Sebastian was especially excited to see 5 baskets laid out in a row in the living room!! He felt the need to go back and forth to them all... even after it had been designated as to who's was whose! It was too cute. Xander on the other hand felt it was necessary to dig to the very bottom of the basket to make sure there wasn't any goodies hidden!!

We then headed off to Sunday morning church, and enjoyed a great service!! We are really so happy to have gotten back into church! And our church has an amazing youth program, and the kids absolutely love it!!

When we got home, it was time to hunt Easter eggs.. We let Bastian and Xander have a head start.. and once Bastian figured out the name of the game.. he was on a roll!! He would find eggs that his daddy and I missed! Xander even got in on the action crawling to get his!!

Was a magnificent day.. And I'm so grateful for the memories we are building.. I was a little worried at the beginning of the year when I took a 30% pay cut when I would no longer be working weekends.. but I have absolutely loved being home with my family on the weekends!!

You know your living it up...

When you're the last to leave Chuck E Cheese's!!! We took the kids tonight for dinner... and it was actually pretty enjoyable, seeing as it wasnt the chaotic mass mayhem of a Saturday afternoon!! It was Sebastian and Xander's first time, and Bastian didn't know what to think of the singing and dancing characters!! He preferred riding the toddler rides, (not the monstrosity of a horse ride daddy tried to put him on!) And walking aimlessly around taking in all the lights and sounds. His favorite game is still skee ball... we could spend an hour on one token, cause he throws the ball.. and it rolls back down.. he throws the ball up... you get the idea. :)

By the time we left, we had spent nearly 3 hours in there.. and I think all 5 babies were asleep before we made it home. When we laid the baby boys down, Xander was fussing.. so while daddy ran to the grocery store.. Momma got in some Xander snuggles as he snuggled into my shoulder and drifted off to sleep. This is what dreams are made of... my dreams.. of time spent with my family.. times full of smiles and laughter. Times that I hope to hang onto for a long time to come!!

Zoo times

Last year we went ahead and bought a family zoo pass, (mainly because its become so expensive) and it quickly became one of our favorite things to do!! Not because the Little Rock zoo is so great, cause let's face it.. there are much better zoos.. (that are free no less!) But because it was something outdoors, all the kids love it, and it provides some sort of exercise.. Not to mention, that once we paid our membership, we could go as often as we wanted.. for free!! (With 5 kids, I'm all about cheap/free entertainment!!)

So today we took Sebastian and Xander to renew our membership, and check out the new penguin exhibit.. and to try out the new dual stroller! Which we loved!!

Xander was content to just stroll around, as long as he had something to eat or drink within arms reach.. Sebastian on the other hand, decided he was far too big, and much too nosy to be stuck in a stroller with a baby all day!! I was worried that I may have to eat the words "I will never put a leash on my baby!", but he did so good!! Never wandering off too far in front of us, and always returning to our side when we yelled "TAYLOR JAMES!! :)

I thought the penguin would be his favorite... but he became so fascinated with the gorilla and apes.. Going on and on in his babble, I'm sure telling us everything we ever could have imagined about the furry creatures that ran around, often reminding us of Sebastian himself! This is also where we learned Sebastian had added a new word to his vocabulary. Water. He was going on and on, pointing to this and that, and then pointing at the little pond, ever so clearly was "water", quickly resumed by his incomprehensible babble. :)

He is getting so big.. way too fast! :( Pretty soon he will be babbling about some girl he has fallen in love with, and I'll just pretend its all still just baby babble that I don't understand, and just keep nodding my head.
